These are Unicode symbols that look like fonts, not real fonts. Screen readers may read them one symbol at a time or skip them, so avoid them for anything important. Some apps, forms and games strip or replace them. Letters that a style has no version of stay plain.

Convert back to normal text

Paste text written in any of these styles. Letters and digits become plain A–Z and 0–9. Frames and decorative symbols you added stay as they are.

Everything runs in your browser. What you type is not uploaded or saved. These styles are Unicode symbols, so how they look depends on the device and app you paste into.

Using a font changer for Instagram

Instagram has no font menu for a bio or a caption, so people paste Unicode letters instead. Type your line here, copy the style you like and paste it in. Use a short, bold or script line for a headline, and leave the rest plain.

Check the bio preview in the app before you save. If a letter turns into a box on one phone, it can do the same for your followers.

Keep what matters in plain text

Styled text is hard for screen readers, and it is not found when someone searches for those words. Put your name, link, location and anything people need to act on in plain letters, and use a style for a short accent such as a title or a divider. Usernames have their own rules and generally will not take styled letters.

Common questions

Is this an official Instagram feature?

No. It is an independent text tool, not affiliated with Instagram. The text is ordinary Unicode that you paste in.

Will styled text hurt my reach?

There is no way to know here. Styled words are not matched to plain words by search, so keep the keywords you want to be found by in plain text.

Which style is most readable?

Bold and sans bold are the clearest. Script is fine for a few words. Gothic and bubble are best for one-word accents.
